Rules Ants versus termites Queens workers army ants / termites 3 dice = 1, 2, 3, 3 2 x chance Chance cards These have the following options: 1) Food store = 2 x more eggs produced 2) Drought / flood = 50% less eggs produced equal to food / store 3) Ant eater = 30% of ants and eggs in nest gone - rare card = 1 in 20 4) Caterpillar in nest = 50% of larvae gone in each go - up to 2 caterpillars in each nest (one in each larve chamber) Caterpillar Several caterpillar cards - option on card - invades army chamber or invades worker chamber 5) Parasite - kills the caterpillar in one chamber and next go kills any in next chmber . Once no caterpillar the parasite peice goes 1) = 2 x more than (2 4) = 3 x more than (5 3) = 1 in 20 cards Chance card rules.. If you have two or more nest areas, then two or three chance cards come into opperation. If you have two Cs, then pick up one chance card. If you get 3 x cs AND you have three nests, then pick up 2 chance cards. Each turn Queen produces eggs in egg chamber. Number of eggs = majority number first - so if 2 x 1 and 1 x 3, you get just 1 egg. If no majority, then highest number on dice, so if 1, 2 and 3 appear, then 3 eggs You can store eggs for as long and as many as you want. If you want, you move egg pieces into either worker larvae or army larvae ant chamber to mature. They are then larvae. Not defence on larvae or egg. Then each turn you can move all ants into next chamber along, provided The previous nest chamber has at least five worker ants in. When invading the opposition nest. You don't have to have any worker ants in. No ants are necessary to remain in the passages to be in the next chamber You can move all pieces forwards in all chambers at each move as you wish. They can go back and forth The game is won when the queen of the opposing nest is defeated. Rules How to attack: Throw one dice for the attack and one for the responding defence. For each attack, you take it in turns for each ant. The attacker throws first and then the defender throws back if they have not been killed or if they have enough in there to kill the attacker. 1) The attacking ants throw against the opposition first - so if you move into a new chamber, held by the defender, you throw first. Each of your ants throws against each of the oposition in turn and they then respond. Once all of your ants have atttacked and all remaining defenders have retalliated, that is the end of the go in that chamber. If more than one chamber is attacked, then this is repeated in each chamber. If both teams move forwards into oposition chambers, and a teams ants are isoated, they must retreat in the next go unless further ants follow them into the proceeding chamber. What kills what: TO kill queen. The attacking ants must have five army ants in the chamber with the queen and throw 3 x Cs. On ech turn, the queen has a retalliation against the attacking ants. If she throws a 2 or 3, then the attacking ant is killed. If there are less than five ants in the chamber with the queen, she cannot be killed but can attack all remaining ants in turn. To kill an army ant = 3 workers in a chamber and throw a 3 against the army ant. or 1 x army ant and throw a 3. To kill a worker ant, an army ant throws a 2 or a 3. OR an invading worker ant throws a 3. Eggs and larvae cannot defend themselves. Eggs and larvae killed by 3 thrown by either invading worker or army ant |
